Laurel Street Multi-Family Affordable
One of the first projects in the office to use the new zoning of Small Multi-Family Affordable in New Orleans. The project takes a family home from a duplex, to a quad and sets aside an affordable unit to be rented out once completed.
Marigny Multi-Family
Once a Catholic school, the newly named Marie Couvant House will serve as a mixed-use multi-family structure. It’s historic nature shall be retained with commercial space on the ground floor and apartments above.
Iberville Condos
An abandoned Historic French Quarter warehouse, this project was brought to studio^RISE to have life brought back to it. The design includes a small commercial cafe on the ground floor and apartments in the rear and upper floors.
Bywater Camelback Addition
Our client came to us wanting to expand their current home for future growth. The clients expressed a desire to maintain their backyard and the historic footprint while adding a primary suite and additional bedrooms. Our team proposed creating a typical New Orleans style camelback addition to accommodate their needs and stay true to the neighborhood fabric.
Parleaux Beer Lab Expansion
A neighborhood staple for its lush and spacious outdoor beer garden, the owners of this micro-brewery desired to increase indoor seating to overcome the daunting New Orleans summers.
Prytania Multi-Family
Renovation of a 1930s corner apartment block and two sister four-plex buildings. The intent is to honor the historic elements of the buildings while allowing for modern occupancy. This project engages the State Historic Preservation Offices.
Arabi Residence
Our clients came to us with a particular design issue. To combine both clients' styles by combining the bungalow aesthetic with a modern industrial aesthetic to create their future home.
Community Masterplan
New Orleans, like many cities, is in desperate need of more housing. This Community Master Plan, comprised of structures that are formed from shipping containers with site built elements, allowed our team to study efficient housing solutions. the focus was on creating on standalone homes that are structured around shared spaces and community amenities.
Floating Core Tiny Home
A design competition submitted from studio^RISE staff, this project looked at tiny sustainable living while also adapting to the needs of the future. This design was made to withstand the floods of South Louisiana while being flexible enough to protect the inhabitants and their belongings.
Dignified Home
studio^RISE's first design competition was a look into New Orleans by combining a residence with a small scale local business. The premise was to provide community inclusion by introducing a gathering space, a usable amenity and creating a homestead for a much needed and impacted neighborhood.
