Hope Family Housing
Originally conceived during EDR+’s Day of Service program, this project explores ways to maximize livable square footage within the dense urban fabric of New Orleans. Designed in response to the city’s newly defined zoning category for Small Multi-Family Affordable Units, the development consists of two ground-up new construction homes.
Laurel Street Multi-Family Affordable
One of the first projects in the office to use the new zoning of Small Multi-Family Affordable in New Orleans. The project takes a family home from a duplex, to a quad and sets aside an affordable unit to be rented out once completed.
Marigny Multi-Family
Once a Catholic school, the newly named Marie Couvant House will serve as a mixed-use multi-family structure. It’s historic nature shall be retained with commercial space on the ground floor and apartments above.
Iberville Condos
An abandoned Historic French Quarter warehouse, this project was brought to studio^RISE to have life brought back to it. The design includes a small commercial cafe on the ground floor and apartments in the rear and upper floors.
Bywater Camelback Addition
Our client came to us wanting to expand their current home for future growth. The clients expressed a desire to maintain their backyard and the historic footprint while adding a primary suite and additional bedrooms. Our team proposed creating a typical New Orleans style camelback addition to accommodate their needs and stay true to the neighborhood fabric.
